Profile
Senior Frontend Engineer with 15+ years owning web applications across music tech, automotive, and energy — most recently taking greenfield products from empty repo to production as sole engineer. Deep in Vue.js and TypeScript, design systems, accessibility, and the delivery process around them: quality gates, testing, and audit discipline. Works as an AI-augmented engineer — pairing agentic tooling with enforced quality gates to ship at pace without lowering the bar, and building the verification and audit infrastructure that keeps that velocity safe. Bridges technical rigour with a craftsman’s sensibility, shaped equally by software engineering and a twenty-year practice in experimental electronic music.
Skills
Languages: JavaScript (ES5–ES2023), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS
Frameworks: Vue.js (2 & 3), Pinia, TanStack Query, Vue I18n, Vue Router
Testing: Vitest, Playwright, Jest, Cypress
Tooling: Vite, Webpack, Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, ESLint, Prettier, Tailwind CSS, Figma, SonarQube
Practices: TDD, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, Design Systems, Accessibility (WCAG), Code Reviews
AI-Augmented Delivery: Agentic coding tools, subagent code review, automated quality-gate orchestration, AI-assisted codebase auditing
Architecture: Micro Frontends, Modular/MVC, REST APIs, PWA
Collaboration: GitHub, Jira

A portfolio for my music practice that doubles as a public, verifiable engineering showcase — where quality is held by tooling rather than discipline: enforced lint and coverage gates, blocking visual-regression and Lighthouse checks in CI, branch protection with signed commits, a from-scratch streaming audio engine, EN/PT internationalisation with per-locale static prerendering and hreflang, WCAG-AA accessibility (axe-core in CI), and a rate-limited serverless contact backend (Cloudflare Worker). Recently ran a structured multi-dimension audit of the codebase, closed every gap it surfaced, and left enforced gates behind — the same "re-runnable quality harness" approach noted below at EDGE, applied to my own work. Clonable and runnable end to end.
Experience
Senior Frontend Engineer · Mar 2026 – Jul 2026
act digital (Client: Smart Energy Lab) · Lisbon
Sole frontend engineer on EDGE App 2026 — a greenfield Vue 3 rebuild of Smart Energy Lab’s EV-charging platform, taken from an empty repo to a deployed product serving condominium managers (billing/invoicing, consumption analytics, real-time charger oversight, authorisation control) and residents (self-service charging, statistics, payments). Owned architecture, delivery, testing, and CI/CD end-to-end — and the client extended the engagement by a month on the strength of the work.
- Delivered the full product surface through an AI-augmented workflow — agentic tooling for implementation and review, behind automated quality gates and a pre-PR verification pipeline — and built the enforcement infrastructure that keeps that velocity safe: ~5% rework across 204 merged PRs, zero in-flight at handoff, ~1h median review-to-merge
- Cut team-wide review latency from ~100h to ~1h — built end-of-sprint bottleneck reporting that surfaced merge stalls to the product owner and drove a reviewer-rotation change
- Built a build-mode-gated developer panel for PO/designer testing (feature-flag overrides, per-service mock state, role + viewport switching, URL-shareable scenario presets, one-click bug capture; tree-shaken from production), the CI/CD + SonarQube pipeline, and an e2e wrapper that cut a full local run from ~38 min to under 5
- Implemented role-based architecture, real-time charging via WebSocket, PWA connectivity awareness, and schema-first response validation (Zod) across an 8-module feature-flag convention
- Ran a structured multi-dimension codebase audit — a deterministic tooling layer plus an AI judgment layer, adversarially verified — resolving 43 of 46 findings and leaving a re-runnable quality harness for the successor
- WCAG accessibility across the component library (axe-core in CI), validated by a visually impaired teammate using a screen reader
Stack: Vue 3, TypeScript, PrimeVue, Tailwind CSS, Pinia, TanStack Query, Vue I18n, Vitest, Playwright

Creative Practice
Twenty years of sustained work as an experimental electronic composer — releasing on Enough Records and Colectivo Casa Amarela, performing at international festivals including MADEIRADIG and Störung alongside Alva Noto, Tim Hecker, Taylor Deupree, Fennesz, and Oneohtrix Point Never, composing scores for film and theatre, and contributing to Glitch: Designing Imperfection (Mark Batty Publisher, 2009). A practice built on the same foundations as the engineering work: systems thinking, long-form attention, and a sensitivity to structure and texture.
